Le cinema terrible

Post by Billy Goodgun on Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:23 am

Cinema. It comes in many guises - funny, thrilling, sad, shooty, scary. But a lot of it comes in "awful," too.

This is just an idea at the moment, but who wants to join "The Terrible Film Club"?

The idea is that we all watch a truly awful film every couple of weeks or so, and then celebrate its awfulness and overwhelming cheesiness in here. It shoud be cheap (ideally free - and legal - somewhere on the internet) and at least it should be entertaining! Everyone needs cheering up every now and then, and all these films will at least remind us that, well, we've never had to resort to those levels of crapness. Very Happy

I'd also venture the suggestion that we all take it in turns to pick the film in question.

Who's with me?

I must say the three worst films of all time are:

3rd - The First Wives Club (shudder)

2nd - The Care Bears Movie 2: A new Generation (doesn't even pay regard to continuity, introducing the Care Bear cousins as new characters even though they were introduced competently in the first movie., Hardly canon in my opinion)

1st - A Bunch Of Amateurs (Frankly, I'd rather hand wash Bernard Manning's wank-sock than watch it again)

"Outlander" with Jim Caveizel is pretty shoddy. It's like watching history, if history was written by an ex cast member of Dawson's Creek who'd been savagely mauled by a dog.
