Lost Planet 2. It's out in May. Any takers?

Now, before everyone starts bashing it, let me just point out I didn't like the first (I played the demo). I also didn't the campaign demo of Lost Planet 2 that was released ages ago. What I will say, though, is that I had the pleasure of playing the multiplayer at the Eurogamer Expo at the tail end of last year, and I was very pleasantly surprised.

There's an MP demo out soon (I think?), and I urge you to give it a try. I'm giving serious thought to picking this up upon its May release, as it was good, solid fun, and a bit different. It played a little bit like the criminally neglected Red Faction: Guerilla, only the controls felt slightly tighter, and the grappling hook you use to get around adds a great extra dimension to the third person shootiness (much like the jetpacks in Red Faction). The maps were well-designed and pleasingly detailed even five months ago, so I'm definitely keeping a close eye on this for the reviews.

This is out today. Anyone? Anyone? Is this thing on?

But seriously, head over to the NowGamer site and check out their review. It's a game made for co-op (as in genuinely built for co-op), and if I can round any wingmen, I'll gladly play it through in a four-player awesome-fest.

Which demo? MP or SP? There's one of each.

I PLAYED THE SINGLE PLAYER BECAUSE I COULDNT GET THE MULTIPLAYER TO WORK WITH MY MATE - IT FELT REALLY SLOW AND CLUNKY, HOWEVER THE GRAPHICS WERE BEAUTIFUL

I think the general consensus on this seems to be: frustrating single-player campaign that comes into its own as a co-op experience. Solid online fun in versus mode.

STILL - NOT PLANNING ON PICKING ANYTHING UP ANY TIME SOON UNFORTUNATELY - I HAVE TO PAY FOR SOME BLOODY CAR TAX :-(


MIGHT PICK UP RED DEAD REDEMPTION AT SOME POINT THOUGH, THATS OUT SOON ISNT IT?

I'll probbaly end up buckling like a weak belt and getting Red Dead Redemption at some point, too, just because I am weak. I think it's out later this month, but I don't know when.

I'd also quite like to give Alan Wake a spin, but I'll wait for it to come down in price first.

I'm still waiting for Crackdown 2, as well, which is out in July.

Bought the second three days ago, now traded in for Red Dead.
